ZIONOMI EMBARKS ON ‘SHADE RED’ USA TOUR

LOCAL REGGAE TALENT ‘ZIONOMI’ SET TO CREATE USA MUSICAL WAVES

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – Saint Lucian recording artist and performer ‘Zionomi’ is set to embark on a multi-city/multi-state tour of the USA ‘The Coming of Zionomi’ in an effort to market and promote his latest independent debut album compilation “Shade Red”. The album project is a culmination of his musical works since he broke onto the local scene in 2006. Each track offers listeners a different ‘shade of red’ as every song carries its own unique narrative/vibration and emotional undertone. His music embodies a vibrant youthful aura and speaks of life’s joys, struggles and universal truths.

Zionomi’s lovelorn ballad remix ‘Wherever You Are’ enjoyed success in 2010 and 2011 on Hot 93.7 WZMX CBS radio Hartford Connecticut on the ‘Reggae Ride to Work with morning crew’ and the ‘Sunday Nite Reggae Riddims’. His sounds personify soulfulness and there is a meaningful message in his lyrics as well. Two notable French Creole songs being “Kon Ça” and “Kah-Wey” which are riding the Francophone airwaves globally with his contagious voice as well as hit songs such as “Give Praises”, “Just A Friend”, “Love How You Whining So”. Zionomi was detected by the international musical community’s radar due to the success of the herb anthem “Roll Yuh”. His lyrics embody experiences/observations molded by the ghetto, the media and society on a whole and has offered him expressive freedom, meditation and a platform to educate and entertain.

After winning the St Lucia Guinness Freestyle Competition in 2006 he was offered the opportunity to fly out to Jamaica where he linked up with Bobby Digital, Beres Hammond, Bushman and Gyptian to name a few. Zionomi has recently performed in Germany and St Maarten alongside Tanya Stephens. Other notable performances include St Lucia Youthfest 2010 with Mr.Vegas, the St Lucia International Jazz Festival 2008 and 2010 as well as ‘Explosion by the Ocean 2011’ with Jamaican artistes Jah Cure and Munga. When asked who is his greatest influence the singer replied simply with ‘Jah + Bob Marley”, he also expressed his desire to perform live for more diverse audiences and to inspire the youth positively, “I believe I was blessed with this gift to touch people in a special way. Since I started writing, singing and performing I realized that I have an effect on people and the reactions are always good when they talk to me.”

With his most recently released CD compilation ‘Shade Red’, Zionomi has garnered a growing global fanbase and increased media buzz. Grab the album and an early ticket so you do not miss this ride when Zionomi train rolls into your town!
